— Jeff Boone
Jeff Boone Co. is the umbrella under which each of the following companies is built, tested, and scaled — from a lifestyle e-commerce brand turned media house, to service-industry software for pest control and junk removal, to a diaspora catering table, to an investment group pooling capital toward the lion's share.
Creating, curating, and cultivating diaspora culture.
Colored Section is a conceptual art, fashion, and lifestyle label building diaspora culture through apparel, art, entertainment, and more. What started as an e-commerce store is now expanding into multimedia — extending the brand's voice into content and channels beyond product alone.
The long-term goal: brick-and-mortar retail stores that primarily sell goods and products made and produced by Black and colored creatives — not limited to clothing, but a full assortment of lifestyle products, art, and home goods. Beyond selling, the stores are built to provide services and host events, becoming a gathering point for the culture they showcase.
Dating, the way it used to happen: through someone who already trusts you both.
Back in the day, the easiest way to meet a potential match was through a friend — by way of suggestion, coordination, and a little hooking up of the right two people. TAF is built to test that theory in a modern dating landscape, and to solve a problem that's only gotten harder: with dozens of dating apps owned by the same handful of companies, it's easier than ever to connect with new people, but seemingly harder than ever to find a genuine match.
TAF answers that with a safer, more fun, and more scientific method of meeting and connecting — matches surfaced through mutual, trusted connections rather than an endless swipe. It's being built with a clear endpoint in mind: build it well, then sell it.
Human resources, treated as a social resource.
Our HR Co is on a mission to make essential life services accessible and affordable. As a subscription-based human and social resource company, it offers America's greatest asset — its workforce — a variety of essential services designed to optimize their careers and their lives. The other half of the mission: making sure the businesses that workforce serves aren't taking advantage of them, and are treating them fairly.
Whether you're a 1099 contractor or a W2 employee, Our HR has you covered.
The DoorDash for pest control.
OPC is a service provider and marketplace for pest control — connecting certified, experienced, and trusted technicians to your door faster than any competitor. Think of it as the on-demand layer sitting on top of an industry that's never had one.
The company is being built to sell, relatively quickly, to either an established pest control company or an entrepreneur looking to build out their own portfolio of companies.
The DoorDash for junk removal.
Our Haul applies the same on-demand thinking behind OPC to junk removal. Pay to have your junk removed — and depending on the haul, receive a rebate at the end of the month. Same playbook, a different truck.
Like OPC, the app is being built to sell.
One table, four corners of the diaspora.
Diaspora Eatery is a catering company built around a curated menu of diaspora culture food — the best of American soul food, Caribbean, South American, and African cuisine, all at one table. It's proof of concept before the restaurant or food station: starting with catering events and building a reputation from there.
Every Sunday, experience a wide variety of diaspora culture by way of food, music, merch, politics, and more.
Pooling resources to take the lion's share.
Lion's Share is a hedge fund and portfolio of businesses, companies, and organizations — primarily investing across tech startups, real estate, the stock market, and trading. The focus is on projects that lead to dividends in the short and long run.
Instead of pouring money into the stock market for baby shares, Lion's Share pools resources together with Black people who also want the lion's share of the profits.
Every entry in the ledger above can take support in a few different forms, whether you're backing Diaspora Eatery's first catering season, extending working capital to OPC ahead of a sale, or investing in Jeff Boone Co. as a whole through Lion's Share.
These forms send a message expressing interest — they do not process a live transaction. Given the securities regulations that apply to investments in particular, all investment interest is followed up with the appropriate documentation (e.g. a Private Placement Memorandum) before any funds change hands.
Support a concept in its early build — no repayment or equity attached, just backing the idea.
Express interest ↗Short-term capital to help a venture bridge a gap — a launch, an inventory run, or a sale in progress — with repayment terms agreed up front.
